Nice relaxing resort, away from the busy area.

- Nice and secluded spot, just outside the busy area. - Spacious, well appointed rooms, the jacuzzi bath felt unnecessary but was actually a great way to end a day. - lovely staff - Feeling of privacy

- No natural light in the rooms if you want any privacy. Have to keep blinds closed to avoid passers by being able to see right into the room - Pool area would no doubt be very busy in peak season. Fine in the quieter months. - Road noise is present pretty much around the whole resort.

Lovely place

The staff were amazing, always on hand and super friendly/helpful. Quite location, great to have a pool and sea front.

The hotel is a little dated and further away from chewang than expected, so taxi cost should be factored

Beautiful place with great staff

Our room was great, and staff was more than friendly. We stayed in a pool villa, which was really comfortable and view was amazing. Unfortunately we had some unexpected events during our holiday (which has nothing to do with a hotel), but staff really made an effort to support us and they were the highlight of our stay.

Location was not easily accessible, neither from a road or a beach... Rooms starting to show their age.

Pool villa, beautiful views, comfortable

The views and location are beautiful. We wanted a location that was quiet but also easily accessible to the town, markets, and nightlife. We rented a bike from the hotel and this worked perfectly for us. We had a fantastic stay, staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was ok nice selection, different hot food everyday. We had a pool villa for 5 nights, which was very beautiful, clean, and much more spacious than it looked in the pictures. We had a comfortable, enjoyable stay. I would book this again.

The water temperature in the shower kept going hot and cold, used the shower in the bath instead was easier to control.

Big rooms and cute beach. Good brekfest!

The location of the hotel is not accessible. Located on a main road, it is not fun to walk. Not comfortable with a baby and a stroller. We felt stuck in the hotel. There is almost no shade in the pool. The rooms are relatively old. The prices in the bar are too expensive.

The room was very nice, the pool area was private and beautiful... Very impressed

Breakfast was "free" but they charged 258b (nearly €7) for one coffee at the breakfast. We mentioned our disappointment gently at reception but they were not interested at all

A good value but we expected more for our money.

The staff was amazing and attentive, the beachside location was beautiful. Our villa was incredibly private. Our private pool was clean and refreshing.

The room is was very worn. The TV was glitchy, the minibar wasn’t stocked, the AC in half of our villa didn’t work, fortunately that was the living room so we didn’t need to sleep there.

Spacious Luxury with a Few Trade-Offs — Great Room, Tricky Location

This is a truly luxurious hotel. The room is massive — complete with a jacuzzi, bathtub, walk-in wardrobe, and well-thought-out lighting zones. Everything feels spacious and clean, the bed is super comfy, and the layout is really stylish. Breakfast is excellent, with a good variety of options and fresh juices that were a real highlight. If you’re after space, comfort, and a luxurious room, this place delivers. Just be aware of a few downsides, especially if easy beach access or total peace and quiet are high on your list.

Although the room is large, it’s sectioned off with a small fence, which makes it feel a bit enclosed. It’s quite noisy both day and night due to traffic nearby. The door lacks a bottom seal, and one night a giant tropical cockroach managed to get in — definitely not ideal. The bathtub and sink are right in the room, so it’s hard to use them quietly if someone is still sleeping. The desk could use an upgrade — it’s a bit worn out. The pool area is small, with very little shade and no umbrellas (despite having space for them). During low tide, the beach view isn’t very appealing because of exposed rocks and a slightly unpleasant smell. There’s no real private beach, and access to the shore is rocky. Also, there are no shops nearby — the closest 7-Eleven is about 1.5 km away.

Nice stay, but a very tired looking place

Amazing location on the beach. Enjoyed the private infinity pool and large apartment. Lush tropical leafy corridors and pleasant restaurant area. Pleasant staff. Lovely stay overall. Good breakfast. Lovely decoration on the bed with the towels and flowers on the second morning.

The whole place is very tired and in need of refurbishment. Loose flooring, fixings and poorly maintained decoration. Mattress was in need of replacement. Some sliding doors, hard to open. Poorly thought out furniture layout making a kettle hard to plug in. Broken fittings, lampshades which fall off, loose taps, door falling off cabinet, screw sticking out of sunbed. Broken lamp glass.

Great property , great private pool and quiet relaxing stay

I loved the private pool and the super friendly staff - Mr. Joe was always happy and helpful in the lovely restaurant “ wild ginger “ . Great place and lovely staff

It’s in a tropical lush environment- so with all the beautiful plants and flowers come mosquitos :) not much you can do about them but run around trying to squish them .

Beautiful hotel but needs updating l

The view from are private villa with private pool . The main pool was lovely with a short walk to an amazing beach . Breakfast was good. Air con was good

Distance away from shops and restaurants. Lack of information about hotel on arrival. No towels for our sun loungers. We were there for a week. We got towels on the second last day. There is free towels at reception for the pool which we were not informed about. A couple of lamps were not working . Needs alot of updating

We enjoyed our stay and was reasonable value for money but would prefer next visit to Koh Samui we would rather stay clo

We enjoyed our stay at the Saran. We had an ocean villa unit which was very spacious and was really relaxing going to sleep hearing the sea.

We enjoyed our room but the window furnishings are in need of repair or replacement. It would have been nice to open curtains so you could have full view of the water and close them to have a dark room to sleep.
